THETIS DV Hero Image

THETIS DV

2020-2021

About the Car

Aristurtle's vision for innovation lead our team to the decision of developing its first autonomous vehicle in 2019. Thetis, our 4th electric vehicle, was chosen as the base vehicle to complete this ambitious task. The team's hard work bore fruition in 2021, when Thetis DV came into operation, becoming the first driverless race car in Greece. The goal the team set for autonomous Thetis in season 2020-21 was to finish all four autonomous dynamic events in a DV competition. Thetis managed to complete all the events in her first try in FS East 2021, an achievement a handful of DV teams have accomplished. Furthermore, the vehicle won 4th place in the dynamic events, snatching also 3rd place in DV Skidpad and adding one more trophy to its award-winning collection.

About the Car

Thetis. Nymph of water. Daughter of gods. Mother of heroes. Object of desire, clash and contradiction. Aristurtle pays tribute to the myth of Thetis by bringing her essence to life with the newest edition of its race car. Thetis’ winning attitude enables her to establish her dominance even against theoretically superior rivals while advanced engineering bring unprecedented vehicle dynamics and record-breaking performance in Aristurtle’s most successful package to date. Award-winning achievements and international podium finishes over the 2018 - 2019 racing season have solidified Thetis’ own place in history.
